I get the question every day:
“Which book should I get?” OR…. “Which book should I get next?”
Best answer is:
This all depends on which “stage” you’re in.
I really do wish I would have paid more attention to what the older wiser millionaires were trying to tell me back in the day.
They tried to tell me what to do… but I just wasn’t getting it.
If only I would have thought to create more clarity around what I wanted my life to be like… I would have (better) known which steps to take…
So when I get ready to launch a new distributor or coach a new client, I start them with the appropriate books, (depending on what they need), immediately…
And depending on what stage or where they are in their journey, (or what new tools/ideas they may need), I guide them to (specific) resources accordingly.
But not (too) many things to do at a time, because:
Overwhelm or confusion causes paralysis.
So…
Clarity is POWER
So below I’m going over the first 15-20 books for Direct Sales/Network Marketers/Home Business Entrepreneurs, depending on “where you’re at”!
If you want to save yourself a ton of time, all while managing your team’s expectations and energy, follow this exact formula…
I believe this first one is crucial for 80% of people :
First, I must qualify my prospect, so I’m not wasting my time or theirs…
Before I will even invest the time with a newbie to home business, (an employee-minded person, or a curious tire-kicking opportunity seeker), I’ll make sure they’re serious by “gapping” them…
What is “gapping”?
I’ll tell them:
“Ok, before we go into it, make sure to go out today and get the book “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki — when you’re done with the book, call me back!”
I’ll do this to qualify them, to filter out the tire kickers who have failure habits and don’t do what they say they’re going to do.
And guess what happens more than 1/2 of the time?
They don’t call me back!
Why?
Because they didn’t go get the book!
They don’t even invest the time to go get a $3 used book from Amazon. (Which obviously means they didn’t READ the book – which means they didn’t do what I told them to do!)
Which means they’re not hungry enough to get my valuable time, so I save a TON of time and effort there. Yay!
Now, the other 1/2 of the time, they DO go get the book and read it. And guess what happens?
Breakthroughs
They have a huge breakthrough. A full on paradigm shift, and now they TRUST that what I tell them WORKS!
And now I’m positioned and my credibility is through the roof, and their belief is high, so they’ll want to finally change their life and do what it takes to get there.
So that’s the first one… Rich Dad Poor Dad
- “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki
Because 95% of people are coming from being an employee, so it’s best if they get that (crucial) initial paradigm shift.
